Jaco Sieberhagen was born in 1961 in Victoria West, South Africa. With the use of CAD and laser technology, Jaco Sieberhagen creates shadow sculptures from steel and occasionally with Perspex. These sculptures express the landscape of the mind. To give an image to his thoughts he also uses the skills and ideas of sequential art to allow the sculptures to tell their story. Jaco has participated in exhibitions all over the world in countries as far afield as the USA, Russia, and China. His monumental sculptures are not only included in collections in South Africa but are also permanently placed in Sculpture Parks in China, Taiwan, and Australia. Jaco has, to date, participated in more than 100 group exhibitions and has also already had 13 solo exhibitions. The distinctive visual style of Jaco’s sculptures combined with his sensitive social conscience has given him a unique place in the South African Art spectrum. His sculptures are part of many private collections as well as many Corporative and Public collections.
